Italian airport strikes reportedly cancelled, travellers should confirm flight status

EuroControl reported that the industrial action at airports in Italy foreseen on 21 April 2015 has been cancelled. The travel alert currently listed on EuroControl appears to have been revised. It continues to indicate that the nationwide air traffic controllers' strike was halted but no longer states workers at two airports, Verona Villafranca and Ancona Falconara, would stick to their planned work stoppages.

As a precaution, passengers planning to fly into or out of the above mentioned airports should contact their airline well in advance of departure to confirm flight status.

Travellers are advised to monitor local radio and other media, and remain aware of possible strike developments.
