USA: Update – Weather delays flights at Newark and New York City Airports

The FAA's Air Traffic Control System Command Center on Monday morning reported significant flight delays at the following airports:

Due to weather/snow and ice, there is a Traffic Management Program in effect for traffic arriving Newark International Airport, Newark, NJ (EWR). This is causing some arriving flights to be delayed an average of 4 hours and 13 minutes.

Due to weather/snow and ice, there is a Traffic Management Program in effect for traffic arriving La Guardia Airport, New York, NY (LGA). This is causing some arriving flights to be delayed an average of 6 hours and 45 minutes.

Because a traffic management program is delaying some arriving flights, departing flight schedules may be affected.

Passengers planning to fly into or out of the affected airports should contact their airline well in advance of departure to confirm flight status.
