GBTA release Poll on Business Travel after Paris Attacks

Last week the GBTA released a new poll that business travel has been relatively unaffected by the Paris attacks.   The poll showed that more than 90% of European and US business travel buyers reported that their company’s business travel plans were relatively unaffected by the terrorist attacks in Paris.

When last polled in November, a similar survey from the GBTA indicated that nearly three-quarters of travel buyers said they did not think their company’s business travel plans would be reduced or that they would not change at all.
The results of this poll show an increase in resiliency and that we’ve reached a new normal in managing risk, with more businesses enlisting the help of TMC’s to manage their travel plans.   This ensures that duty of care policies are in place along with the safe guard of travellers being looked after if anything does go wrong.   At EQ Travel, as part of our daily routine we monitor global events and activity so we can respond quickly when major events occur that may affect our travellers.   If airports are closed and flights cancelled, leaving travellers with lengthy delays or being stuck overnight, we can immediately secure hotel rooms or recommend travelling on other forms of transport or rebook individuals onto later flights.
